DESCRIPTION:Register here \nJoin the Milwaukee Domes Alliance and Audrey of the Mitchell Park Wellness Collective for a cozy Saturday afternoon with plants. \nThis event is all about nurturing your mind\, body\, and soul through the power of houseplants. From Egyptian embalming to Greek mythology this class will briefly cover an array of histories between indoor plants and humans dating back centuries. Discover the secrets of indoor gardening\, learn about different plant species\, and explore their remarkable benefits. \nLearn how to incorporate daily affirmations\, wellness\, and meditation into your plant care routine\, followed by a quick guided meditation. \nWe’ll finish with short guided tour in the Desert and Tropical Domes to learn more about houseplants and their needs in their natural environments. Whether you’re a seasoned plant enthusiast or just starting your journey\, this event offers something for everyone. Connect with fellow plant lovers\, exchange plant stories\, and expand your network in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. \nLocation: Mitchell Park Domes Education Center \nPre-registration is required. This workshop is a part of the Milwaukee Domes Alliance adult workshop series. Youth 12-15 are welcome with an adult supervisor. \nCost: Members $22; general admission $25 \nBecome a member \nThe Mitchell Park Wellness Collective is a community-driven initiative that utilizes the backdrop of beautiful and historic Mitchell Park as a place for healing. Classes\, events\, workshops\, and 1-on-1 fosters a sense of community and encourages individuals to take an active role in their own well-being \nMitchell Park is a large historic urban park (one of the first 6 public parks in Milwaukee!) in the heart of the Clarke Square neighborhood and southside communities\, overlooking the Menomonee Valley. The Milwaukee Domes Alliance envision a reactivated Mitchell Park will provide neighbors\, families\, and nature lovers with free access to long term health benefits. \nThe Mitchell Park Domes provides a resource for education\, wellness\, healing and equity. \nIn partnership with The Helios Group \nFOD Media/Photo Release Policy: Photos and other media taken during the class may be used for marketing purposes.
