DESCRIPTION:Register here \nIn this program\, participants will experience programming that will engage their senses with the beauty of plants and nostalgia of The Domes. The participant and their guest will learn about and explore the history of The Domes and its world-class plant collection as well as acquire new skills in plant husbandry and propagation. During the workshop\, all attendees will choose a plant from the gift shop\, repot their new plant\, and take it home with instructions for care. Interpretive Educator\, Pete Stobie\, will teach houseplant skills related to watering and humidity\, choosing soil\, repotting\, light requirements\, and more. \nInteractive workshop includes: Domes History and houseplant care. SUMMARY:Make Your Own Bird or Bee Bath
DESCRIPTION:Join Milwaukee Domes Alliance and Audrey of the Mitchell Park Wellness Collective for a cozy Saturday afternoon at The Domes. \nDesign your own unique bee\, bird\, and butterfly bath to support your local pollinators! Choose from an array of sustainably sourced materials and learn how to easily maintain your new pollinator party. There will also be a short presentation about how you can make your outdoor space more friendly for our little environmental rockstars. As well as a guided tour through The domes to gain a better understanding of their life cycle. At the end of the class you get to bring home your new bee and butterfly bath as well as some inspiration and direction to creating a pollinator friendly green space. \nLocation: Mitchell Park Domes Education Center \nPre-registration is required. This workshop is a part of the Milwaukee Domes Alliance adult workshop series. Youth 12-15 are welcome with an adult supervisor. \nRegister here \nCost: Milwaukee Domes Alliance Members $38; general admission $42 \nBecome a member \nThe Mitchell Park Wellness Collective is a community-driven initiative that utilizes the backdrop of beautiful and historic Mitchell Park as a place for healing. Classes\, events\, workshops\, and 1-on-1 fosters a sense of community and encourages individuals to take an active role in their own well-being \nMitchell Park is a large historic urban park (one of the first 6 public parks in Milwaukee!) in the heart of the Clarke Square neighborhood and southside communities\, overlooking the Menomonee Valley. The Milwaukee Domes Alliance envision a reactivated Mitchell Park will provide neighbors\, families\, and nature lovers with free access to long term health benefits. \nThe Mitchell Park Domes provides a resource for education\, wellness\, healing and equity. \nIn partnership with The Helios Group \nFOD Media/Photo Release Policy: Photos and other media taken during the class may be used for marketing purposes. By purchasing a workshop registration\, you are consenting to this policy. Please email if we may not use photos in our marketing efforts. \nFOD Adult Education Workshops Cancellation and Refund Policy: Registrants may cancel workshop registrations up to one week in advance of the workshop and receive a refund for the price excluding all Eventbrite fees.
