Friends of the Domes hosts nature-related programs for families and children.

Most programs are designed for 3- to 8-year-old children, but all ages are welcome.

Free with admission:

Join us Wednesdays at 10am for our Weekly Wednesday family program in the Domes lobby

Enjoy interactive activities in the Domes Education Center. Hours vary.

Seasonal Programming:

Our Family Fun Fests will take place annually during Milwaukee Public Schools’ winter break, spring break, and summer break. Each program includes and activity kit and access to themed activities and a snack in the Education Center.

Winter Break: Winter in the Tropics: Tropical Fruit snack, floral shirts, watercolors.

Spring Break: Family Fantasy Quest: Fantasy creatures, enchanted forest, puppets!

Summer Break: Pollination Palooza: Interesting insects, gardening, honey!

Activity kits available in Spanish and English!

Please note: Entry to the Mitchell Park Domes is NOT included.

As always, Friends of the Domes members are able to access The Domes at no charge. Not a member? Join today.

Friends Education Refund Policy
Participants may cancel registrations up to one week in advance and receive 75% of the original price. Cancellations made after this time are nonrefundable. Cancellations made three weeks prior to the workshops will be refunded 100% (excluding processing fees).

Friends Media/Photo Release Policy
Photos and other media taken during the class may be used for marketing purposes. By purchasing a class registration, you are consenting to this policy. Please email our Education Director if we may not use photos in our marketing efforts.
