Experience the beauty of the Mitchell Park Domes as you reset your week with a one-hour yoga class. The Friends of the Domes invites you to visit this urban oasis and relax to the sights, sounds, and floral smells offered in the Show Dome. Come and flow among the bright, vivid and spectacular array of fall flowers with Dietrich Hunter, an instructor with ties to local schools and the outdoor community in Milwaukee.
All levels are welcome. Dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat or request a mat during registration for an additional fee. Floor surface is bumpy. Although this is an indoor location, it is a horticultural conservatory and insects may be present.
More about Dietrich: Our instructor is a certified yoga teacher specialized in Ashtanga yoga through Breathe for Change. Dietrich uses he/him pronouns and is a local leader in the community at St. Augustine Prep Academy. His relationship with yoga blossomed as a member of The Healing Chicago, an organization designed to celebrate Black and Brown men’s mental health through practicing yoga and intentional community. He teaches both youth and adult classes in English and Spanish. When Dietrich isn’t practicing yoga, he likes doing drone photography or getting outside to bike or kayak with his wife.
Cost: Includes entrance to The Domes. Members $15; General admission $18. Yoga mat $10
