Hi! My name is Yesi Perez and I am the Bilingual Educator and Engagement Coordinator at the Milwaukee Domes Alliance. I joined the education team in Fall of 2025 and have enjoyed helping our visitors and neighborhood residents connect with the nature found in the Domes. I grew up in Milwaukee’s Southside, where I strengthened my love for my community, culture, urban nature, and art. I graduated from Marquette University and the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with degrees in Political Science and Studio Art. After college, I served at Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers’ Department of Environmental Health and Community Wellness, where I helped our neighborhood residents understand the link between our urban  environments and human health. I coordinated interactive efforts that fostered stewardship for our local green and blue spaces, including urban gardening, mindfulness sessions in nature, a high school land stewardship internship, environmental justice workshops, placemaking efforts throughout our urban streetscape, river cleanups, a residential tree-planting program, and so much more!

When I am not enjoying and teaching at the Domes, I am advocating for water restoration within our shared waterways, painting murals, leading art workshops, cooking new recipes, hiking trails, and spending time with my family, friends, and Buki, my little German Shorthaired Pointer!
