Did you know that the most common houseplants like fiddle leaf fig, monstera, lilies, orchids, and air plants come from a tropical environment? Whereas succulents like cacti, jade plants, and aloes thrive in a desert environment. How lucky that we can explore these environments and understand plants’ unique needs right here at the Milwaukee Domes!

Propagation is the process of taking a piece of a mature plant and providing the right conditions to make a clone of that plant. If you have one houseplant, it is likely that you can make many more of that same plant through propagation (instead of having to buy more). We will learn the basics of succulent and tropical plant propagation and the major differences between the two.

This class includes taking home two propagated succulents and a tour of the desert and tropical domes. Cost includes all materials and entrance to The Domes.

This workshop is a part of the Friends of the Domes adult workshop series. Youth 12-15 are welcome with an adult supervisor.

Pre-registration is required.
