Do you remember the first time you visited The Domes? What did you feel?
Excitement? Peace? How about hope?

For many, the Mitchell Park Domes is a beacon of hope that has continued to shine bright for six decades.

Access to green space is critical to our entire community’s health and well-being — and this year, The Domes did not disappoint! We welcomed:

  • More than 250,000 visitors.
  • More than 5,000 school children through field trips.
  • Nearly 40,000 children and adults through the Education Center.

Despite its significance, this Milwaukee icon — owned by Milwaukee County, supported by Friends of the Domes, and beloved by generations of area residents — has been threatened with demolition.

Last year, Friends of the Domes presented a new vision for the future of The Domes, and it has received much support! But we haven’t reached the finish line yet.

This plan lays out years of hard work ahead — work that will now be led by Friends of the Domes. We need your support today more than ever … to strengthen our organization and continue the momentum. To expand our capacity to rally the community. To accomplish the solution we are now united to achieve: saving our Beloved Conservatory.

Donations of $100 or more make you eligible for beautiful Domes-themed note cards created by local artists PLUS two passes to The Domes (just in time for the popular train show). Donations of $1,000 or more will be recognized for one year on the digital sign in the lobby of The Domes.

This work is critical, and we cannot do it alone. Make a gift today to ensure this new path forward for the Conservatory.
